Me being me, I like to tack USB-C charging onto everything, since it's so damn convenient and universal these days.
So I picked up a decoy/trigger board off Amazon, and had the idea to use the RJ11 modem connector shell as base for the mod.

I added some wires to the board, and went for pairs of thinner wires to make it more flexible and thinner.

My boss thought that sounded kinda sloppy though, and insisted on us doing it on the CNC router at work instead.
The result is this block made of a material called Forex. It's a foamed PVC board that's pretty dang ridig, but still allows for a small amount of flex. This also meant that the insert could be just slightly too large, allowing for a snug press-fit into the computer.

It was a really tight squeeze to get it down beside the motherboard, and resulted in me having to unscrew the whole thing to move it out the way a little. But it fit perfectly, and feels really solid.

Considering it's a fully reversible mod I think it turned out quite well!
