OCC Zine and thoughts.

Post by thedorkweb »

Hi all,

I've finally finished OCC 2024. For my challenge I decided I'd create an 8-fold zine using Windows 3.11 on a T42 IBM Thinkpad. The zine and final post is here, along with thoughts and conclusions.

All of this got me wondering if there's any interest doing an OCC overview zine-type doc for the 2025 OCC showing what people have done in the past and providing some inspiration for others. It doesn't need to be an 8-fold job like mine, I just thought something that might give a push or ideas to those who are a little unsure of trying it for themselves.

Any thoughts?

You made a lovely Zine, wonderful!

IMHO it would indeed be nice to have something for the OCC2025 :)

That looks impressive and very much 90s. Something like that for OCC25 would attract attention I think.

Below from the OCC Web page write up...
"Of all the OCCs I've participated in, I'd say this was the most productive but least rewarding."

I know what you mean. Although I did not have to write any complex software or struggle with the innards of post-script I did find my own OCC24 quite like work.
