That's really slick, nice job. I'd like to build a USB-C power supply for my Tandy 1400LT because I've only had it working so far by connecting up a benchtop power supply to the battery terminals.

Man, I've forgot to reply to a bunch of posts here. Work stress does that I suppose, lol.
But yeah, it's a pretty nice mod! And simple too. It should be trivial to build a cable for your Tandy as well. 80s portables are usually extremely un-fussy about the charger, as long as the Voltage and current is in the right realm.
Cool machine, that Tandy! I'm a little jealous of it tbh. The only 80s portables I've got are Toshiba. I've got a T5100 and a T3200. A 386 and 286 respectively. They are plasma display machines, and use a fair amount of power at all sorts of annoying voltages, so they can't easily be battery powered sadly.
