Server Side Tips
Copied from my gophersite, some tips for writing mapfiles which every (as far as I've tried) client can successfully read: * Some clients get confused about empty lines. If you want an empty line, make it a blank "i" line. * On that topic, some clients are picky about "i" lines, ...

Re: Teeny Tiny Gopher Server
We're now up to 1.4 which notably adds image support after my Japan trip. I also made it so that you do
so that you don't *have* to edit config.h, but that was 1.3.2

Re: Japan Pics
Nah, these are on a Nokia G400, just mangled by my script.
Most of the camera photos were unfortunately ruined (I forgot how long it takes to get it to autofocus)

That sign can't stop me because I can't read
(usually the door not opening has stopped me immediately after, though.)
Were it not for my cat I'd be strongly considering the 6 month remote worker visas here.

Re: Japan Pics
I decided to try using my lowtechify script (tweaked) on some of these. I think some of the results are kinda neat. The ones with bugs look weirdly flat, as if the bugs themselves were photoshopped in. For those I tweaked the saturation to only multiply by a little and upped it to 3 bit color instea...

Japan Pics
Most of the pictures I'm taking are trapped on my digital camera until I return home, but I figure I may as well save a spot now and drop in some of the pics that I've taken on my phone which I *can* upload here  These shouldn't be anything new as they're all higher res versions of the down...

Nadine: A Text Editing Language
I've had a line editor kicking around in my head for a long time, trying to put some of it to paper. Everything (mostly) is through an edit command. An edit command is a selection and an action. A selection is a set of contiguous lines. There are three kinds of these: literal: 1~5, 8~10, 30~59 (sele...

Re: Dreamcast NetBSD Investigation
Not quite, no. I think it might be fun to play with if my hunch is right and my video problems are due to not having a vga box, though. There's that and one other bit of trouble to figure out: for some reason DNS is giving my ipv6 addresses back and things keep trying (then failing) to connect to th...

Dreamcast NetBSD Investigation
This is not going to be my OCC next year, we're gonna get that out of the way first. If it were it'd be some serious style points though. I don't really feel like writing up the results on a proper OCC page, so we'll make it some forum exclusive content. You don't need a NetBSD box to bootstrap off ...
