Re: Bridging between older and newer SSH
I've gotten around it by telnetting into a machine on my LAN then using that to ssh out. No reason you couldn't do what you said and configure something with ssh1 then give it a dropbear or similar with ssh2 though. What's the old system we're talking about here? If your Old Computer is Windows then...

Server Side Tips
Copied from my gophersite, some tips for writing mapfiles which every (as far as I've tried) client can successfully read: * Some clients get confused about empty lines. If you want an empty line, make it a blank "i" line. * On that topic, some clients are picky about "i" lines, ...

Re: Teeny Tiny Gopher Server
We're now up to 1.4 which notably adds image support after my Japan trip. I also made it so that you do
so that you don't *have* to edit config.h, but that was 1.3.2

Nah, these are on a Nokia G400, just mangled by my script.
Most of the camera photos were unfortunately ruined (I forgot how long it takes to get it to autofocus)

That sign can't stop me because I can't read
(usually the door not opening has stopped me immediately after, though.)
Were it not for my cat I'd be strongly considering the 6 month remote worker visas here.

Re: Japan Pics
I decided to try using my lowtechify script (tweaked) on some of these. I think some of the results are kinda neat. The ones with bugs look weirdly flat, as if the bugs themselves were photoshopped in. For those I tweaked the saturation to only multiply by a little and upped it to 3 bit color instea...

Japan Pics
Most of the pictures I'm taking are trapped on my digital camera until I return home, but I figure I may as well save a spot now and drop in some of the pics that I've taken on my phone which I *can* upload here  These shouldn't be anything new as they're all higher res versions of the down...

Nadine: A Text Editing Language
I've had a line editor kicking around in my head for a long time, trying to put some of it to paper. Everything (mostly) is through an edit command. An edit command is a selection and an action. A selection is a set of contiguous lines. There are three kinds of these: literal: 1~5, 8~10, 30~59 (sele...
